For today, I must be thankful that I learnt a lesson - that there is no limit, no end, no line to be drawn for violence. Like how one slap evolved to three punches on the head and the face; like how violence simply mocks respect, kinship and even societal standards of what a man should never do to a woman in a fit of anger. Indeed, the manifestation of violence speaks of cowardice as the saving grace. I am thankful that it was the clip that broke and nothing else; I am thankful that it is the left fingers and the neck that hurt more, than the ache in the heart; I am thankful i am just feeling giddy and not unconscious; I am thankful I am home, hit but not bitten.
