a humble dinner for my dearests :)

with love for 2008:
for papa mama godma uncle brother n you! from clockwise:
stir-fried nai bai vegetables with crabmeat (new), stir-fried fruity fish fillets (new), shrimp dumplings soup (signature), claypot egg tofu with various shrooms (signature), stewed dark soya sauce mid-wings (all-time favourite)

background:
the dish that appears the most attractive in the picture above turned out to be the one that i make a blunder with. looks are deceiving indeed. intended to be char siew sauced fish fillets but couldnt get the bottle of char siew sauce open in time!...had to "salvage" the lack of taste and colour with unevenly cut chili slices and mixed sauce before the fish fillets dried up. shall conquer this dish again with the bottle of char siew sauce open BEFOREHAND. haha.

others:
and yes no more kung bao chicken dices although it was my much acclaimed signature before the claypot tofu comes into limelight. apparently, too much has become too little...hmm...

also, relative to the dishes i whipped in 2007, the overall aesthetic appeal seems to have deproved...a result of poor time management i would say.from clockwise:
omelettes with prawns, kung bao chicken dices, steamed minced pork patties, stir-fried xiao bai cai with crabsticks and fishcake

finale:
im so into cooking once more! chinese cooking that is. yums!~
